World Tajima Beef Festival

To commemorate the 2023 recognition of the traditional Tajima beef breeding system in the Mikata region, where humans and cattle coexist, as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System, and to spread its appeal to the world, the festival will be newly launched in 2023 as the "World Tajima Beef Festival."
On the day, a special BBQ area will be set up where you can enjoy Yumura Onsen Tajima Beef. BBQ sets, charcoal, and other BBQ essentials will be provided free of charge! Not only can you grill and eat the meat on the spot, but meat is also available for purchase to take home.
The Tando Haneso Dance evolved into its current form during the Warring States period when a warrior from the countryside would teach his sons and daughters swordsmanship to protect themselves and their homes. The dancers, dressed in special costumes, dance with powerful grace and swinging sleeves, captivating the audience.
Students from Tajima Agricultural High School will perform a bridal procession of Tajima cows, recreating the scene of a traditional wedding. Amateur band live music and bingo tournaments will also add to the festive atmosphere. In the children's festival area, children will have fun with activities like scooping super balls and yo-yo fishing.
Location: Hyogo Prefectural Tajima Ranch Park Note: The event will proceed even in light rain
*If a warning (heavy rain, flooding, or strong winds) has been issued for Shin-onsen Town as of 6:30 AM on the day, the event will be canceled. To check for cancellations, please check the Shin-onsen Town website or social media, or the Tajima Farm Park website.

summary

The World Tajima Beef Festival is a place where you can see, taste and learn about Tajima beef.
There are plenty of highlights to see, including the finest Yumura Onsen Tajima beef in the special BBQ area, the Tando Haneso Dance, a dance that has been passed down since the Warring States period, and the Tajima Beef Bride Procession.
Why not come and experience the charm of Tajima to the fullest with your family and friends?
This is a voluntary tourism organization that promotes the attractions of the northern Kinki region of Tamba, Tajima, Tango, and Wakasa. The flavors of Northern Kinki are not limited to crab, a representative winter sea delicacy, but also include oysters, yellowtail, and pufferfish, as well as cockles, rock oysters, and white squid in the summer, and mountain flavors such as Tamba chestnuts and Tamba black beans, and the summer fruit sand dune melon, making this an area where you can enjoy gourmet food all year round. I would be happy to be able to visit the vast northern Kinki region many times and share information on railroad journeys.
