Aino Strawberry Farm

Aino Strawberry Farm is easily accessible, just a five-minute drive from Tokoname Interchange, and is a popular spot among locals. The cat depicted on the sign at the entrance is apparently the owner's pet cat. You can really feel the Tokoname of Tokoname, a city of cats.

The spacious and clean house with 86 lanes is perfect for women, as it keeps your feet clean and is safe for families with children, as well as those in wheelchairs and strollers.

Types of strawberries

The varieties are either Akihime or Yumenoka, and you can eat as much as you want for 45 minutes!

(You cannot choose the strawberry variety.)

・Akihime

Its distinctive long cone shape is mildly acidic, and the fruit is soft and melts in your mouth.

・Dream

This original variety from Aichi Prefecture is characterized by its large, wide flesh. The flesh is firm, juicy, and rich in juice. It has a harmonious taste of rich sweetness and moderate acidity.

Both are large strawberries and very satisfying.

They also offer night strawberry picking on Fridays and Saturdays (17:00-20:00 (last admission 19:00)), so it looks like a great place to come on your way back from sightseeing in Tokoname on the weekend.

You can also sit and enjoy your meal inside the house.

Aino Strawberry Farm

There are two varieties of strawberries available, Akihime and Yumenoka, and you can eat as much as you want for 45 minutes! The spacious greenhouse has 86 lanes, so families with children and even those with strollers can enjoy themselves. You can even bring your own packed lunch and toppings! What's more, night strawberry picking is even held on Fridays and Saturdays! You can enjoy strawberry picking in a special atmosphere that's a little different from daytime picking.

Fruit Loops

Fruit Loop is a space that exudes warmth and playfulness, with a DIY reception area inspired by Oregon, USA. It is a strawberry picking farm adjacent to a farm restaurant.

Choose your toppings!

The unique feature of Fruit Loops is that they offer 11 different toppings, allowing you to enjoy strawberries in a variety of flavors, not just condensed milk. The first topping is free, and you can add a second one for an additional 100 yen. Why not try combining your favorite toppings, such as whipped cream, chocolate cream, or Japanese-style bean paste, to make the experience even more fun?

Free hot coffee and other drinks are also provided. Enjoy your time surrounded by strawberries with your family and friends.

Types of strawberries

There are seven different types of strawberries available.

In addition to the aforementioned Akihime, there are also rare varieties such as Yotsuboshi, Haruhi, Suzu, Oi C Berry, and Star Night. Try a variety of strawberries, from large ones to cute little ones.

All strawberry picking participants will receive a pack of strawberries, so they can choose their favorite variety to take home. You can also purchase strawberries grown on the farm at the reception.

This strawberry-picking farm, located adjacent to a farm restaurant in Aichi Prefecture's first National Strategic Special Zone, cultivates Akihime strawberries, a sweet variety with a low acidity, under strict environmental management. There are 11 different toppings to choose from, so you can enjoy strawberries in a variety of flavors.

There is also a direct sales store where you can purchase strawberries as souvenirs.

\Tips for eating strawberries deliciously/

Pick the strawberries from the stem side!

It is recommended to eat strawberries from the stem side.

The sugar content is higher at the tip, so if you eat it from the sour "stem" towards the sweeter side, you will be able to enjoy the sweetness even more until the last bite.

Carret is a Western and Japanese confectionery shop with deep roots in the local community. Founded by a Japanese confectioner before the war, the shop continues to be loved by people of all ages and genders to this day.

This is a long - established patisserie that has been popular in Tokoname for many years. Since its founding, the shop has cherished the desire to "bring smiles to people's faces with sweets," and offers handmade sweets, one by one, with care. The shop is also particular about making Western-style sweets using local ingredients, such as Tokoname milk and eggs, and offers a wide range of enjoyable products, from everyday snacks to gifts for special occasions. There is also a spacious cafe where you can enjoy freshly baked sweets made by pastry chefs in a relaxed atmosphere.

Champ de Pierre

Located a 15-minute walk from Tokoname Station, Champ de Pierre also started out as a Japanese confectionery shop that has been in business since before the war, and is now a Western-style confectionery shop that is rooted in the local community and is now in its fourth generation.

How about the "Strawberry Shortcake" made with their special sponge cake, or the "Berry Tart" topped with lots of berries? You can also eat and drink inside the shop, so you can relax with a drink set.
