BOAT RACE Naruto PRESENTS: Naruto Summer Festival 2026 will be held!

Naruto City in Tokushima Prefecture serves as the eastern gateway to Shikoku, connected to the Kansai region by the Naruto and the Akashi Strait. Naruto City offers diverse natural beauty, with both the sea and mountains to enjoy.

Furthermore, there are plenty of tourist attractions, including the Naruto Strait whirlpools, which are said to be one of the world's three major tidal currents, as well as Awa Odori dance festivals and the Shikoku Pilgrimage!

This time, we'll be introducing "BOAT RACE Naruto PRESENTS Reiwa 8th Year Naruto Summer Festival," which will be held in Naruto City !

The venue is about a 25-minute walk from JR Naruto Station. It's about a 5-minute taxi ride.

Route bus

Get off at either Naruto City Hall or Naruto City Hall North bus stop. The venue is about a 15-minute walk from there.

Get off the express bus at the "Naruto Naruto Bus Stop".

Located near the Naruto Naruto Bus Stop, we provide information on sightseeing and transportation in the surrounding area, mainly in the city. The facility also features a JR Shikoku Bus and Tokushima Bus Group express bus ticket issuing counter (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). The facility is equipped with a tourist information board focusing on Naruto City, a waiting room, coin lockers, rental bicycles, toilets, a taxi stand, and more. A free slope car called "Sloppy" runs between the mountaintop station, where the express bus stop is located, and Information Center Station. There is also a 24-hour parking lot (capacity 171 cars).

Take a local bus from the Naruto Expressway bus stop and get off at Naruto City Hall. From the Naruto City Hall bus stop, it's about a 15-minute walk to the venue.

If you get off at Naruto Kita Interchange, it will take about 15 minutes to get there.

Alternatively, if you exit at the Naruto Interchange, you can get there in about 10 minutes.

Temporary parking will be set up around the city hall.

Highlights and event schedules

Stage events

Stage events organized by Naruto Itano JCI (including Awa dance performances by the City Awa Odori Promotion Association)

Time: 17:30-20:20

Location: Near the clock tower

Festival and Market

There will be nostalgic festival food stalls selling things like shaved ice and takoyaki (octopus balls). (Approximately 60 stalls)

In addition, a variety of stalls from local shops and other vendors will be set up at the market (approximately 40 stalls).

Time: 17:30-21:30

Location: Between the front of the sports park and the symbol zone

Musical fireworks × laser light show

Musical fireworks, laser light displays, and other diverse performances will illuminate the night sky over Naruto.

Time: 20:40-21:00

Launch location: Near the pond next to the tea house

Approximately 1,000 missiles will be launched.

Viewing locations: Around Pocari Sweat Stadium and around the second athletics stadium, etc.

About the Naruto Awaodori

Awa Odori, one of Japan's three major Bon dances, will be held in Naruto Awaodori from August 9th to 11th, kicking off the event in the prefecture.

How about enjoying the summer festival on the 7th, sightseeing in Naruto the next day, and then enjoying the Awa dance the day after that?
