Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibition Comes to Tokyo

Resident Evil Celebrates 30 Years With a Major Tokyo Exhibition

Resident Evil, known as Biohazard in Japan, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with its first large-scale exhibition, THE WORLD OF BIOHAZARD 30th Anniversary Exhibition, in Tokyo.

Held at Shibuya BEAM Gallery from October 30 to December 24, 2026, the exhibition brings three decades of survival horror to life through immersive spaces, video presentations, development materials, and life-size displays.

Visitors can retrace the terrifying incidents faced by the games' protagonists while exploring recreations inspired by the creatures, villains, viruses, and other elements that have shaped the series since its debut in 1996.

The exhibition is designed to make visitors feel as though they have stepped inside the world of Resident Evil.

Several themed areas will explore different aspects of the franchise, including THE WORLD OF BIOHAZARD Theater, Evidence of Fear, and Memories of Those Who Confronted the Horror.

Commemorative merchandise created especially for the 30th-anniversary exhibition will also be available at the venue.

Discover the Viruses, Parasites, and Fungi Behind the Horror

The Evidence of Fear area explores three major sources of infection that have appeared throughout the Resident Evil series: viruses, parasites, and fungi.

Visitors can view development materials related to these elements alongside detailed life-size recreations of villains from the games.

A section titled The Virus That Started It All focuses on viruses central to the series, including the infamous t-Virus developed by the Umbrella Corporation.

Displays of creatures transformed by these viruses will trace the devastating incidents that have defined the Resident Evil story over the past 30 years.

Another area, Memories of Those Who Confronted the Horror, turns the spotlight on the protagonists who have survived encounters with the series' terrifying creatures and villains.

Displays will follow the characters from their first appearances through the latest games, highlighting their stories and the deadly incidents they have faced.

One of the exhibition's major attractions will be a life-size recreation of Leon S. Kennedy, the fan-favorite character who survived the Raccoon City incident and went on to face numerous biohazard threats throughout the series.

Additional exhibition areas and special projects will be announced at a later date.

Limited-Edition Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Pin Set

A special ticket featuring an exhibition-exclusive framed pin set is also available in limited quantities.

The collectible set features the exhibition logo surrounded by designs representing 19 Resident Evil titles, spanning the original game through the latest installment, Resident Evil Requiem.

Titles such as Resident Evil Revelations are also represented in the collection.

The bonus item will be distributed at the exhibition venue on the day of the visitor's reservation. Quantities are limited and sales will end once supplies run out.

Tickets for THE WORLD OF BIOHAZARD 30th Anniversary Exhibition

General tickets went on sale through Ticket Pia on August 3, 2026.

All admission tickets are for a designated date and time, with up to six tickets available per transaction.

One preschool-aged child can enter free of charge when accompanied by one paying adult. Additional ticket processing and payment fees may apply.
