Until December 25! Christmas Illuminations at Tokyo Midtown

Tokyo Midtown Christmas

Tokyo Midtown, a shopping, dining, and cultural complex in Roppongi, will host MIDTOWN CHRISTMAS 2026 from November 26 to December 25.

Under the theme Midwinter Night’s Dream, Midtown Garden will glow with floating soap bubbles, colorful light displays, and an illuminated Christmas tree made from a real fir.

This year introduces a champagne lounge overlooking the illuminations, while a special Ralph Lauren outdoor ice rink opens on December 5.

Visitors can also enjoy a Christmas market, live music, and a festive stamp rally inside the complex.

Floating Bubbles and Dreamlike Winter Illuminations

The main display, MIDWINTER LIGHTS, transforms Midtown Garden through changing colors and original music.

A four-minute show moves through scenes inspired by a snowy forest, sparkling Christmas Eve streets, and an aurora illuminating a clear winter sky.

Floating soap bubbles add another layer to the scenery, drifting through the lights every four minutes.

The illuminations are free to enjoy from 17:00 to 23:00 throughout the event. Bubble effects are available for a shorter period, ending on December 20.

A New Champagne Lounge Overlooking the Lights

Making its debut this year, MIDWINTER LOUNGE offers a place to relax with champagne, original cocktails, and seasonal treats.

A raised deck approximately 1.5 meters high overlooks MIDWINTER LIGHTS, while standing and seated areas let visitors enjoy refreshments surrounded by the illuminations.

The menu includes potato frites with a choice of three toppings, as well as colorful parfaits to complement an evening among the lights.

The lounge runs from November 26 to December 20, opening from 16:00 on weekdays and 15:00 on weekends until 22:00. Last orders are at 21:30, and entry requires a food or drink purchase.

A Dreaming Christmas Tree and Golden Garden Walks

An approximately 8.5-meter-tall real fir tree becomes THE DREAMING TREE, a centerpiece of Tokyo Midtown’s Christmas celebrations.

Golden lights and shifting colors bring this year’s Dreaming Tree theme to life. The tree is illuminated from 17:00 to 23:00 through December 25.

For a longer winter stroll, the Promenade of Lights fills the garden and Plaza 1F with approximately 340,000 lights.

The golden display continues until February 23, 2027, with special lighting sequences in the garden every hour and half-hour, as well as at the evening’s opening and closing.

Restaurants facing the garden also offer views of the illuminated scenery.

Christmas Shopping, Little Santas, and Live Music

Inside the complex, the Christmas Market returns to Galleria B1 with festive goods and accessories from HARMONIER, Nordika nisse Official Shop Tokyo, and Hale Marche.

The market opens daily from 11:00 to 21:00, November 26–December 25.

During the same period, MIDWINTER SANTA STORY: Little Santas’ Search for the Stars invites visitors to explore the Christmas decorations and find stamp stations around Tokyo Midtown.

Layer the stamps to reveal a complete postcard illustration, following little Santas who have stepped out of a giant picture book in search of stars.

On December 12 and 13, CHRISTMAS ENSEMBLE adds live music to the celebrations. Free performances take place at 14:00, 16:00, and 18:00 on Galleria 2F, with each session lasting approximately 30 minutes.

Skate at the Ralph Lauren Midtown Ice Rink

The rink remains open until February 23, 2027, giving visitors a chance to enjoy skating beyond the Christmas season.
