Calorie Monster Cherio Creamy Mayonnaise Ice Cream - Weirdly Tasty!

Morinaga is a Japanese company mainly known for its wide variety of popular sweets. However, for autumn 2019, they decided to release an ice cream bar with a twist. 

The Calorie Monster Cherio Creamy Mayonaise Ice Cream retails for about 140 yen and has 307 calories. The outer shell and the core are white chocolate. The ice cream itself is made with mayonnaise.

Surprisingly it is not as weird as expected. It mainly tastes of white chocolate and there is something extra creamy about the mayonnaise ice cream. In fact, if you would give this to someone without telling them it is mayonnaise ice cream they might think it is just normal white chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

However, if you know what is inside you can taste the slight aftertaste of mayonnaise. It is not very offensive as Japanese ice cream has a very smooth, creamy taste by itself already.
