A light art exhibition that lets you feel the present and past of Kanazawa Castle
A light art exhibition by the world's leading art group teamLab will be held at Kanazawa Castle Park. Kanazawa Castle is known as the castle where the Maeda family lived for 14 generations, but it was originally a temple that served as the base of the Kaga Ikko Ikki, and after the Meiji Restoration, the army headquarters was located there, and after the war, it was also used as a temple. Its role changed over time, including being used as a campus for Kanazawa University. In this exhibition, the present and the past intersect, people living in the present participate, and we will see an art space that changes depending on the presence of people. For example, in Gojikken Nagaya, animals shaped out of flowers are projected, and as you walk through the park, there are rows of egg-shaped glowing objects. It transforms interactively while being influenced by the behavior of the people around it, making people a part of the work along with nature and a part of time. In addition, ``Drawing Warlords,'' in which children's drawings of warlords are displayed as moving pictures, will stimulate children's creativity. Take this opportunity to experience teamLab's works in Hokuriku.
This exhibition will be held as a project sponsored by the prefectural executive committee of the Ishikawa Hyakumangoku Cultural Festival 2023.
