In addition to collecting and exhibiting belongings of A-bomb survivors and photographs and materials showing the tragedy of the atomic bombing, the history of Hiroshima before and after the atomic bombing and the situation in the nuclear age are introduced.

The Hiroshima City Environment Bureau Naka Factory is a waste incineration facility with an eye-catching modern building. This facility puts the negative image of waste incineration facilities front and center, without hiding it. A through passage called the "Ecorium" runs through the center of the building, and as you pass through the passage while looking at the silver piping, you can see the ocean in front of you. You can see the latest incineration equipment through the glass. The Naka Factory is a waste incineration plant that incorporates the latest technology, and its architectural design was created by world-famous architect Yoshio Taniguchi.

Nishi Fire Station is a fire station located in the center of Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. The building was designed by Riken Yamamoto and is attracting attention as it will receive the Pritzker Prize in 2024.

Shimose Art Museum's eight movable exhibition rooms, which stand on a water basin, are a unique piece of architecture in the world. The architect Shigeru Ban was inspired by the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and made use of Hiroshima's shipbuilding technology to create a mechanism that allows the rooms to move using the buoyancy of the water. The special exhibition rooms also have movable walls, which allow them to transform into a variety of different spaces for each exhibition. The eight movable exhibition rooms, which stand on a water basin, are a unique piece of architecture in the world.
