Start planning your trip

This is a two-day, one-night plan recommended by the concierge at Hinata Rental. We have put together a course that we would especially like to recommend to those who are trying camping for the first time and those who are planning to visit Oarai from overseas.
2-day, 1-night accommodation course
11:00A.M.
Travel by train from your accommodation and begin your journey at Oarai Station. With the station's design based on the image of ocean waves and city buses decorated with pictures of the sea around Oarai, you'll feel like you've arrived in a local Japanese seaside town where you can take your time and enjoy nature.
11:30 A.M.
(Study time: 1 hour)
"Oarai Seafood Market" is a seafood market that is popular not only with locals but also with people from all over Japan. It opens early at 7am, but is always bustling with visitors. There is a wide selection of fresh seafood that has just been landed at Oarai Fishing Port.
The recommendation here is Oarai's soul food, "hamayaki," which is grilled shellfish or fish, and the owner says it is best enjoyed with beer or ramune.
Why not enjoy some shopping while thinking about what to have for dinner at camp?
12:30 P.M.
(Duration: 30 minutes)
Get the rest of the ingredients and drinks you need at the supermarket "Save Shokusaikan Oarai Branch." It's also a good idea to prepare your lunch here before setting up your tent. Also, don't forget to buy ice to keep the fish you bought fresh.
This supermarket is adjacent to the campsite, so you can easily return if you forget to buy something.
13:00 P.M.
(Stay time: 1 night)
When you arrive at Oarai Campsite, first check in. If you tell your name at the front desk, you can pick up your luggage prepared by Hinata Rental.
You may have a lot of luggage, but the tent pitching area is nearby. Once you've set up your tent in the forested area, you can enjoy nature and relax.
(Duration: 30 minutes)
This shrine, which has a history of over 1,100 years since its founding in 856, offers a wonderful view of the ocean from its grounds. One of the highlights is the "Kamiiso no Torii" that floats in the Pacific Ocean, and the view is known as a photogenic spot for social media.
After watching the sunrise at the shrine and feeling its power, try cycling around the town of Oarai. After that, you will return to the campsite and check out.
[Sunrise times vary depending on the season.]

What do you think? Oarai is only about an hour and a half away from Tokyo Station.
Oarai is a Japanese seaside town that is easy to get to without any stress, and is especially recommended for foreign visitors.
Why not try a camping experience where you can feel the sea breeze and enjoy gourmet food?
