Spring has arrived in Tokyo! Hotel New Otani, where the Japanese garden and restaurant are dyed in spring colors

Hotel New Otani's Japanese garden is a vast healing space filled with carefully tended greenery. Stroll through the gardens and discover something new no matter what season you visit, with winding paths, gently flowing streams, koi ponds, and seasonal flowers.

The Japanese garden is approximately 3.3 hectares in size and has 58 cherry trees of 19 different varieties. The time when each cherry blossom tree is in full bloom varies depending on the type, so you can enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms anywhere in the garden from early March to late April.

The highlight of the Japanese garden is definitely the impressive waterfall! As you approach the waterfall, which is 6 meters high, you will be overwhelmed by the amount of water. There are also cherry blossom trees around the waterfall, so you can take photos of the combination of the waterfall and cherry blossoms.

Enjoy afternoon tea while looking at the waterfall and cherry blossoms!

There are over 30 restaurants and cafes within the hotel. Among them, the ``Garden Lounge'' overlooking the Japanese garden is always crowded, offering a buffet at lunch and afternoon tea in the afternoon.

I tried the ``New Afternoon Tea Set ~Amaou~'', which is made with plenty of Fukuoka-produced strawberry ``Amaou Strawberry'', which is only available for a limited time.

I especially liked the fruit sandwich, Amaou pudding, Amaou macaron and soy meat sandwich. There was red bean paste hidden inside the fruit sandwich, and the sweetness unique to red bean paste was a great accent. Very satisfied with this unexpected combination for the first time!

I also enjoyed being able to choose from my favorite tea leaves for black tea. I chose “Wild Berry By Biscus”. The fragrant and fruity black tea was perfect for afternoon tea.
