We're providing information on how to see, eat, play, and enjoy Osaka's shopping streets to the fullest. If you read this, you'll want to come ...
Jinaimachi is a charming area lined with traditional townhouses and designated as a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings, located within walking distance of Kintetsu Tondabayashi Station.
In Jinaimachi, there used to be a sake brewery called "Banrinoharu Sake Brewery" that was known for its famous sake "Banrinoharu", but it later went out of business. The sake brewery has been renovated and a craft beer brewery and beer hall have been born.
The tanks lined up at the brewery contain "golden water," a well water sourced from Mount Kongo, which is blessed with an abundance of underground water, and is used to produce craft beer with a flavor unique to Jinaimachi.
The eight types of beer produced include Saison, Weizen, Amber Ale, Stout, Hazy IPA, IPA, Smoked Amber Ale, and Golden Ale, all of which have a fresh taste, and they plan to add more varieties in the future.
At the beer hall, you can enjoy craft beer along with trout dishes caught locally in the Chihaya River and other delicacies made with local ingredients.
"We have visitors from the local area and abroad, but there are still some people who don't know about Jinaimachi. We want to actively participate in town events such as the Jinaimachi Hina Doll Tour, Jinaimachi Lantern Festival, and New Year's First Nabe Tour, to liven up the area," says Ishida, the sixth generation representative.
Please come and try our craft beer with the taste of Banri Ikkuu, woven from the rich nature and long history.
Osaka's shopping streets support the lives and employment of the prefecture's residents, play an important role as regional infrastructure, and are attractive as places for local people to interact. With an eye on the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, we have opened the portal site "Eeyan! Osaka Shopping Streets" as an initiative to promote the appeal of Osaka's shopping streets and stores and digitize them. "Wow, there's a shopping street like this! I'll go check it out next time!" Please use "Eeyan! Osaka Shopping Streets" to discover new aspects of shopping streets you didn't know about or your local shopping street, and to have wonderful encounters with shopping streets.
