Oishi Park

The Kawaguchiko Herb Festival is a symbolic event for "creating a fragrant village" and is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year since its first event in 1992. It is a major event in Fujikawaguchiko Town that attracts many tourists from both Japan and overseas every year.

Yagisaki Park

Yagisaki Park, located on the south shore of Lake Kawaguchiko, is a famous spot for lavender. There are well-maintained walking paths, so you can take your time appreciating the lavender. You can also see a lot of hydrangeas at the same time at the same time.

Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge is Japan's first bridge built in a special national park area. In 1987, along with the Fuji Subaru Line, it was selected as one of Japan's top 100 roads, and a stone monument has been erected there. The stone monument is located at the south entrance of the bridge, on the Mt. Fuji side. On a clear day, you can see the magnificent Mt. Fuji, making it a great photo spot, but on rainy or cloudy days, you often can't see it at all. There is no parking space, so we recommend going by bicycle or on foot.

Lake Kawaguchiko North Shore Walking Trail

This promenade runs along the shores of Lake Kawaguchi, and is a scenic spot where you can see the bridge, the Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mount Fuji right in front of you. In spring, it is the venue for the Fujikawaguchiko Cherry Sakura. In autumn, the Fujikawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival is held just a five-minute walk away.

Oishi Park

Oishi Park is a place where not only lavender but also various other flowers bloom in every season. The highlight is the spectacular sight of the crimson kochia flowers against Mount Fuji, which are at their best from mid- to late October.

Kawaguchi Asama-jinja Shrine

This shrine was built over 1100 years ago in order to calm the eruptions of Mount Fuji. It is home to the 1200-year-old "Seven Cedars," a registered natural monument of Yamanashi Prefecture, and the "Mount Fuji Worship Site (Torii Gate in the Sky)," a 20-minute walk away.
