Hakodate Station, on the Hakodate Main Line, is the busiest station in Hakodate City.
There are several rental car locations within walking distance of JR Hakodate Station, and a wide range of cars are available, from compact rental cars with a capacity of around four people to rental cars suitable for group trips with a capacity of eight people.

It was the last Japanese-style castle in Japan and fell during the Battle of Hakodate.
The area around the old castle, centered around the reconstructed castle tower, has been designated a national historic site and has been developed into Matsumae Castle Park. The area is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, with around 10,000 cherry trees of 250 varieties.

Fresh seafood such as tuna and abalone sold directly by the local fishing cooperative, as well as Matsumae pickles, a local specialty, are on sale. At the Kitamae Restaurant inside the facility, you can enjoy Matsumae tuna while taking in the view of the vast ocean in front of you and the Tsugaru Peninsula on the opposite shore.

It is an island located in Esashi Port, with a circumference of about 2.6 kilometers.
Along with nature walks, you can enjoy touring the island's historical sites, such as Itsukushima Shrine, Umaiwa Rock, where the legend of Yoshitsune remains, and the Esashi Oiwake Memorial. Near the island's entrance, you can see the strangely shaped rock formation "Binshiiwa Rock" and a restored warship from the end of the Edo period, "Kaiyomaru."

Founded in 1870, this is a Japanese confectionery shop that represents Esashi.
"Gokatteya Yokan" is a venerable item that was presented as a souvenir to Emperor Showa when he visited the area. In addition, "Marukan Yokan," which is eaten by cutting it with the attached string in a red cylindrical can, is famous as one of Hokkaido's representative sweets.
