Enjoying beer and hotel-quality food while admiring the night view from 70 meters above ground... Just imagining it gets you excited, a beer garden is being held at Kumamoto's long-established hotel, the ANA Crowne Plaza Kumamoto New Sky. Blanc Mule, an all-weather venue on the 25th floor, is a huge success every day, as it offers an all-you-can-eat, drink and drink buffet of authentic Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine. This year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment, and there will be special events on a weekly and daily basis. Don't miss out on the luxurious ingredients such as shark fin and wagyu beef!

The all-you-can-drink menu has about 40 types of drinks. In addition to alcoholic drinks such as draft beer (Premium Malt's Kaoru Ale, Suntory Draft Beer, Perfect Suntory Beer), Kaku Highball, various cocktails, and Jasmine Shochu, there is also a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks (right). They also have All Free (non-alcoholic beer) on tap, which is rare for a beer garden! You can pour it yourself.

You can easily enjoy a BBQ using camping equipment near the station and in the city! Such an attractive beer garden is now open on the terrace on the third floor of the commercial facility "Amu Plaza Kumamoto" in front of JR Kumamoto Station. It was produced by "Snow Peak", an outdoor brand that has a shop in the same facility. A tarp is set up on the open terrace, which is about 15m x 30m in size, and you can enjoy a full-scale BBQ. The ingredients provided are of impeccable quality, including thick and juicy rib roast and extremely fresh scallops with shells. Why not try grilling on the stove and enjoying it with a cold beer?

(Right) The popular "BBQ set" includes beef rib roast, aged pork belly, kimchi, sausage, black tiger prawn, scallops, vegetables, and grilled rice balls, making for a very satisfying meal. It costs 3,500 yen per person (the photo shows a portion for two people).

The grills, BBQ equipment, and tableware used are Snow Peak products. The grills in particular are highly regarded for their excellent heat retention, and are known for being able to cook thick steaks deliciously. They are also extremely easy to use. It is only at the beer garden managed by the company that you can try out authentic outdoor equipment.

There is also a full lineup of single items handmade in the in-store kitchen. (Left) In addition to draft beer (Premium Malt's, PSB, dark beer), there is also a full range of alcoholic drinks, including highballs, tako-hai, Midori gin and soda, wine, shochu, and sake. There is also a wide selection of soft drinks.

(Right) Drinks are basically self-service, but draft beer is poured automatically when you place the mug on the server, so even those who aren't good at pouring can have fun.

In the space next to the garden, there is a wide selection of elaborate dishes, such as carpaccio, roast beef, stewed horumon, steamed dishes, and curry, and you can choose as much as you like. Freshly made dishes are served one after another from over 40 different menu items, so we recommend going back multiple times to pick up your favorites within the time limit.

(Left) In addition to the standard dishes like yakitori, chorizo, and fried chicken, you can also enjoy the hotel's special "Oden." The dashi is well-seasoned and goes well with beer and highballs.
