It is the southernmost Shinkansen station in Japan and is located in Kagoshima City.

Across the sea, the gentle and graceful Kaimon-dake, nicknamed "Satsuma Fuji," towers above. The sea features beautifully curved reefs formed by lava flows, and small fish can be seen here and there in the water. Many people enjoy fishing and playing on the rocks.

With a circumference of approximately 15 km and a depth of approximately 233 m, it is the largest caldera lake in Kyushu.
The western lakeside has been developed for tourism and is a viewing spot overlooking Mt. Kaimon across the flower fields.

This shop, run by Ibusuki City, is the originator of the rotating somen nagashi. In addition to the standard round tables for 6-7 people, the shop also has round tables for 2 people and a counter-rotating round table for left-handed people. You can enjoy cold nagashi somen in a warm room in the winter as well as in the summer.

This botanical garden covers an area of 36.5 hectares and is home to subtropical plants from around the world, including Australia and South Africa. Each plant is gardened to blend in with the surrounding scenery, and many people visit just to take photos.

Here you can experience a geothermal sand sauna, one of the few in the world.
When you lie down, the ladies will cover you with sand and adjust the temperature, relying on their years of experience. While listening to the sound of the waves, you will slowly start to sweat for about 10 minutes.
