Welcome to Kishigawa Strawberry Farm, an award-winning farm located in the picturesque town of Shiroishi in southwestern Saga Prefecture, Japan. Shiroishi is blessed with rich natural landscapes, including mountains, plains, rivers, and the sea. Kishigawa Strawberry Farm was established about 45 years ago by its predecessor, who dedicated himself to the cultivation of strawberries. From the outset, the farm has focused on soil preparation and the research of cultivation techniques. Among its many innovations, Kishigawa was one of the first to adopt "Kabirei," a method to expedite flower bud differentiation. This dedication has earned the farm 14 consecutive JA Chairman Awards and the prestigious Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Award in 1998.
At Kishigawa Strawberry Farm, we are committed to delivering the freshest strawberries. We harvest our strawberries at peak ripeness early in the morning, when the air is cool, to ensure maximum freshness and sweetness. By employing reduced pesticide and chemical fertilizer practices, we ensure that our strawberries are both delicious and safe to eat. Our advanced computer-controlled greenhouses maintain optimal growing conditions, leading to consistent production and quality. Each plant is carefully monitored and watered daily to prevent diseases and pests, ensuring that every strawberry is perfect. Our strawberries, known for their harmonious balance of sweetness and acidity, are highly regarded in markets in Kyoto, Tokyo, and Fukuoka.
Visitors to Kishigawa Strawberry Farm can enjoy a unique strawberry-picking experience from January to May, twice a week. Our farm offers an all-you-can-eat experience featuring eight different strawberry varieties, including the rare "Black Strawberry" (Mishizu) and the sweet "White Strawberry." With 12 greenhouses cultivating nine varieties of strawberries, visitors can taste and compare the diverse flavors. The farm is managed by the third generation, Rikiya and Suzuna, who are passionate about sharing the joy of perfectly ripe strawberries. The farm also features charming photo spots and handwritten signs by Suzuna, providing tips on identifying the best strawberries. Come and discover the delightful taste of Kishigawa Farm's strawberries and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones.
