Gold-Knot is an accessory brand from Kanazawa that layers gold leaf onto delicate lace. When artist Kiwada was searching for accessories that she could wear even though she has metal allergies, she noticed the tatting lace technique that was popular in medieval Europe. In order to prevent the lace from losing its shape, she came up with gold leaf, which is less likely to cause allergic reactions. She then developed a unique technique (patented) to apply multiple layers of Kanazawa foil, a traditional craft that Kanazawa is proud of, onto silk lace. It was completed after more than a year of trial and error.

Gold-Knot offers a wide variety of items such as necklaces, earrings, and brooches under the theme of "Wearing traditional crafts in your daily life." The overwhelming lightness and high quality of the products have earned them acclaim, and they have been exhibited and sold at art museums and galleries in Europe and the United States. In addition, their pop-up shops in Japanese department stores are always crowded with fans, and they have been featured in various media outlets, attracting attention from both within Japan and overseas.
