Strawberry Picking Season in Naruto (January to May)

Although it depends on the weather conditions of the year, the varieties cultivated at the strawberry farm, and the weather, you can generally enjoy strawberry picking from early January to around May. In addition to picking your own strawberries, there are also strawberry farms where you can enjoy cafes and illuminations, so if you are in Shikoku, be sure to stop by Naruto City.

Yu Farm | A classic farm where you can enjoy Benihoppe!

The "Benihoppe" strawberries grown at Yu Farm are as the name suggests, "rich enough to make your cheeks drop," and are juicy with the natural sweetness of strawberries. Please enjoy freshly picked strawberries. Nearby are the first and second temples of the 88 Shikoku Pilgrimage, as well as the Naruto City German House.

Together with our sister store, Fruit Garden Yuu, we aim to provide you with safe and secure strawberries that will bring you memories that will bring a smile to your face.

Fruit Garden Yamagata | Original brand strawberry "Uzushio Berry®" on sale!

Fruit Garden Yamagata is a strawberry and pear farm, and also has a barbecue facility, a cafe, and a farmer's market. Fruit Garden Yamagata cultivates its own original brand of strawberries, "Uzushio Berry®." Fruits and sweets can be purchased at the farm shop or online shop.

Kisai Garden is a strawberry farm that opened in April 2024. This farm grows safe and secure strawberries without using pesticides during the growing period. We also pay special attention to soil preparation, so please enjoy the large, sweet strawberries grown with organic fertilizer.

TODA Berry Farm | A tourist farm renovated from an abandoned school

TODA Berry Farm is a tourist farm that has been renovated from a disused school (Kitanada Nishi Elementary School) in Naruto City.

There are seven vinyl greenhouses in the schoolyard, where about 8,000 strawberries are grown. The strawberries are fertilized with a blend of natural seaweed extract and crushed oyster shell powder from the sea off Naruto, and are also sprayed with bonito extract and organic acid calcium fertilizer on the leaves. They are the "Uzushio Berry®" brand of strawberries, with an excellent balance of sweetness, sourness, and flavor.

The school also houses a mini cafe that students can drop in to casually, as well as a local museum where anyone can learn about Naruto's history and culture.

The facility regularly holds events such as direct sales markets for agricultural products, and is always bustling with visitors.

The former Kitanada Nishi Elementary School, located in the northwest of Naruto City, was surrounded by the greenery of the mountains and the beautiful sea, but was sadly closed in 2015. The school building is the work of architect Tomoya Masuda, of which many remain in Naruto City. The closed elementary school was reused to make it a place where people can gather once again. TODA Berry Farm, a tourist farm, was started with that idea in mind. The school building has a mini cafe where you can drop in casually, and a local museum where anyone can learn about Naruto's history and culture, and you can enjoy it even during the off-season for strawberry picking.
