Before the Oedo Line and Tsukuba Express opened, Shin-Okachimachi Station was tentatively called "Asakusa Asakusa." It's close to Asakusa Station, and walking around the area, you can feel the old-fashioned atmosphere of the downtown area, just as its name suggests.

On the other hand, in recent years, redevelopment has progressed due to its convenient transportation, and construction of condominiums and commercial buildings has been active one after another.

This area was home to many craftsmen during the Edo period, and it has a history of developing as a wholesale district, and is still known as a manufacturing town today.
