In this article, we'll lay out a sample itinerary featuring entirely halal restaurants and activities.
9:04 - 9:47 -- From Tokyo to Makuhari Hongo Station in Chiba City

Chiba City can be easily reached from Tokyo Station. Take the Sobu Line rapid train to Tsudanuma Station, then transfer to the Chuo-Sobu Line and exit at Makuhari-Hongo Station. Our first halal restaurant and experience is just a 4 minute walk away!
10:00 - 12:20 -- Halal Sushi Making Class at Sushi Ichiju

Offering both vegetarian and halal sushi, Sushi Ichiju is the perfect place to enjoy one of Japan's most famous cuisines.
While many sushi recipes include mirin or alcohol, all of the food and meat offered at Sushi Ichiju is certified halal. What's more, for 6,000 yen, you can enjoy a sushi-making lesson from the restaurant's master sushi chef. Afterward, you'll enjoy not only the sushi you made but also a full course lunch meal.
*The sushi-making workshops may have been halted in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections. Please check with the facility in advance if you're interested in these workshops.
12:32 - 13:08 -- Travel to Gaiya Farm
Our next stop is Gaiya Farm. To reach the farm, take the Chuo-Sobu line from Makuhari-Hongo Station to Chiba Station and transfer to the Sotobo Line. Take the Sotobo Line to Kamatori Station, then it's just a 10-minute taxi ride to Gaiya Farm.
13:30 - 15:20 -- Strawberry Picking at Gaiya Farm

At Gaiya Farm, you can enjoy a strawberry picking experience featuring a wide variety of Japanese strawberries. Held from January until May, the strawberry picking experience costs around 2,500 yen and includes a chance to try Japan's unique White Princess strawberries!
Friendly staff will tell you all about the farm's many varieties of strawberry as you sample each with a side of sweet condensed milk. Each area of the farm includes English signage, so it's easy to discover your new favorite type of strawberry.
15:20 - 16:00 -- Travel to Chiba Islamic Cultural Center for Halal Souvenirs
Our next recommended destination us the Chiba Islamic Cultural Center, which has a halal market with a wide variety of souvenirs.
Return to Kamatori Station and take a train to Chiba Station. Change here to a JR Chuo Sobu Line train heading to Nishi-Chiba Station. The cultural center is located just 2 minutes away from this station.
16:02 - 17:00 - Buying Souvenirs: Halal Ice Cream and More!

To finish your trip to the halal hotspots in Chiba, why not visit the local masjid? Located in the Chiba Islamic Cultural Center, the building features a prayer room, event center, and even a halal cafe and supermarket!
The halal market includes a number of great souvenir options, including delicious halal ice cream, coffee, and other local treats.
The Islamic Cultural Center is located near Chiba University, making it a popular spot for Muslims living in or visiting the area.
After 17:00 - Back to Tokyo
To wrap up your day trip to Chiba, it's just a short train ride back to Tokyo. From Nishi-Chiba Station, take the Chuo-Sobu Line one stop to Inage Station, then the Sobu Line rapid train all the way to Tokyo.
