The Misaki Tansu shop was founded in 1865 (Keio 1). It has a long history as a joiner and a lacquer maker, and is also listed on the oldest residential map of Takefu (now Echizen City), the Echizen Province Takefu Urban Area Map (1875). registered as a traditional private house.

Currently, Toshiyuki Misaki is the 8th generation. While many people feel the pressure of history and tradition, Ms. Misaki declares, "I am truly grateful that we have a long history, trust from the public, and customers that have been passed down from generation to generation." That's why we value communication that looks the customer in the eye. He has been working on various things so far, but he says that the style that he finally arrived at is face-to-face sales at the store. Even on the website, we do not dare to sell online, but rather use it as an information dissemination to let people know about the existence of the store and to get them to visit us. Misaki still lives on the second floor of the store. The store on the first floor has a tatami room, and you can feel the warmth of your own home. It's strange because when you put yourself there, you can relax and talk even if you're meeting for the first time.

Mr. Misaki, who specializes in single-plate tables, purchases most of the materials from raw wood, which takes several years to commercialize, and takes care of drying and correcting warpage.
