1. Experience the Taste of Japan's Shaved Ice 🍧

Shaved ice is simply ice that has been finely shaved and served with sweet syrup in flavors such as strawberry, Ujikintoki, or melon, or topped with sweet red bean paste or condensed milk.

It remains a highly popular treat in Japan, and in recent years, high-end versions of shaved ice have emerged as a fashionable dessert.

You can find a shaved ice parlor that offers a taste of Japan, located in the Haneda Airport Garden, directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3.

Mosuke Dango

Indulge in the Japanese-style shaved ice experience with this delightful creation: fluffy shaved ice topped with sweet red bean paste and drizzled with matcha green tea syrup.

The sweet taste of the red bean paste blends harmoniously with the slight bitterness of the green tea, creating a uniquely Japanese flavor.

Not a fan of matcha green tea? No worries. You can choose from two other flavors - strawberry or red bean paste - and customize your treat with your favorite toppings, like whipped cream, condensed milk, shiratama (small mochi balls), or even more matcha green tea.

3. Try the Cool and Chewy Kuzukiri Ice

Kuzumochi (kudzu cakes) and warabi mochi (bracken cakes), with their smooth texture and visually cooling appearance, are among the favorite Japanese sweets enjoyed during the summer months.

Kuzumochi is a type of mochi cake made from wheat flour that has had the gluten removed, combined with a lactic acid fermented substance known as Ukiko.

It's been a popular treat in Japan since the Edo period (1603-1868), but what's interesting is that the ingredients used in kuzumochi vary by region, such as Kanto or Kansai. This regional variation even influences the flavor of the final product.

Warabi mochi, on the other hand, is a historic Japanese confectionery that has been savored since the Heian period (794-1192). In more recent times, warabimochi made from potato or lotus root starch has become prevalent. Its smooth texture and refreshing taste make it a perfect sweet delight for the summer season.

Kurazukuri Honpo

Kuzumochi (kudzu cakes) and warabi mochi (bracken cakes), with their smooth texture and visually cooling appearance, are among the favorite Japanese sweets enjoyed during the summer months.

Kuzu ice is a delightful, cold ice treat made from kuzu, offering a unique chewy texture.

You can savor it while it's still frozen for a crisp bite, or let it sit for about 15 minutes before enjoying it to experience a chewier consistency.

The choice of texture is yours! With five flavors to choose from — grape, mandarin orange, green apple, strawberry, and Setouchi lemon — each one offers a distinctive taste to enjoy.
