Pikachu Takes Over Yokohama! 4 New Adorable Pokelids and Art Displays
Pikachu is here to brighten Yokohama with exciting Pokemon installations across the port city! There are now four new permanent Pokelids decorating the streets of the dazzling Minato Mirai area, as well as outdoor art displays.
Yokohama: A Pokemon Paradise
In celebration of the recent Pokemon world championships, Yokahama turned into a Pokemon paradise! Four new adorable Pokelids have been installed on the streets of Minato Mirai in Yokohama adding a touch of Pokemon magic to the city's utilities.
There are around 15 million uniquely designed manhole covers in Japan! With over 200 Pokelids (Pokemon-decorated manholes) around the country, as well as Pokemon centers, you are sure to find adorable Pokemon in most prefectures!

1. Nippon Maru Memorial Park
Featuring Pikachu, Machomp, and Psycduck, this new Pokelid depicts the refreshing atmosphere of the port city perfectly!
Closest to Yokohama's first Pokelid located at Sakaguricho Station, visitors can find the new one within reachable distance from the station at the famous Nippon Maru Memorial Park. The area boasts stunning views of Yokohama Cosmo World’s Ferris wheel and Yokohama Landmark Tower!

2. Rinko Park
Located near the Yokohama Pukarisanbashi Pier, this Pokelid is adorned with the art of fireworks and a skipping Pikachu and friends.
Also featured is the iconic Yokohama Bay Bridge, which can be seen from this spot! The bridge is especially magical at night and during firework festivals in Yokohama.

3. Yokohama Marine Tower
Sky-high views with Pikachu! The third Pokelid is located outside the brilliant Yokohama Marine Tower.
The shining tower is lit up at night and offers panoramic views of the city from its observation deck located 100 meters above ground level. Depicted on the Pokelid are yellow and green ginkgo leaves representing the area's lovely ginkgo trees.

4. Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse
A playful battle takes place outside the historic Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse! Pikachu and Riachu can be seen going head to head in an electrifying battle along the red brick park pathway.
The area was built in the early 1900s and acted as an inspection area for imported goods into the port city. Now it is the ideal location to catch ocean views while exploring shops and indulging in delicious food.

Well-known among Pokemon fans for its yearly Pikachu parade and Pokemon center, Yokohama is a great destination for visitors in eastern Japan! The new Pokelids are located in popular spots around the city and within walking distance from each other.

Limited Time Pokemon Artwork on Display in Yokohama
The main celebrations for the Pokemon World Championship may be over for this year but visitors still have a chance to catch the Pokemon artwork scattered around the city until September 30, 2023.
Guests can explore events such as the Pokemon Card Art Photo Spot. The series contains lifesize colorful Pokemon cards adorning areas such as Yamashita Park, Motomachi Plaza, Yokohama Park, and Yokohama City Hall.
In addition to the photo spots, there is also a Pokemon Card Art Museum at Sky Building Yokohama on the 10th floor, a Pokemon Card 151 Illustration Collection at MARK in the Minatomirai Hall, and a Pokemon Card Legendary Corridor located in Landmark Plaza's 3F public corridor.
