What is Onouchi Icicle?

These icicles are artificially created by running a 500m pipe from Onouchi River, which originates from Mt. Ryogami!
With a circumference of approximately 250m and a height of 60m, it has now become Ogano's representative winter tourist spot.
The icicle illumination event held from mid-January to late February is also popular.
The best view of the impressive icicles is the view from the suspension bridge. (You cannot cross it at night.) Although it is a sturdy suspension bridge, it still sways. As you begin to cross the suspension bridge, you will be greeted with a jaw-dropping sight.

From January 7, 2024 to February 25, 2024 (planned)

What are the normal viewing hours?

From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What about light up?

Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from January 27th to February 12th, from sunset to 8:00 p.m.

What about access?

By car

From Kanetsu Expressway Hanazono Interchange, take National Route 299 via National Route 140 towards Gunma Prefecture, about 50 km, about 100 minutes. Register "996-1 Kawarazawa, Ogano-machi, Chichibu-gun, Saitama Prefecture" on your navigation system.

By bus

From Seibu Chichibu Station on the Seibu Chichibu Line, take the Seibu sightseeing bus bound for "Kurio" or "Ogano Shako".
At "Ogano Yakuba", transfer to the Seibu sightseeing bus bound for "Sakamoto",
Get off at “Onouchi Keikoku Entrance”
Approximately 1.2km walk approximately 20 minutes
