[For intermediate riders] "Inaichi" cycling around Lake Inawashiro
[For beginners] Enjoy the spectacular views on the Inaichi Light Course!
The Inaichi Light Course is a course where you can leisurely enjoy the shores of Lake Inawashiro and the town of Konan.
For first-time riders, the 60km course can be quite challenging, so there is an "Inaichirite Course" for parents and children, couples, and beginners who want to try cycling more casually.
[Step 1] Rent a bicycle!
You can rent bicycles at the Inaichi Cycle Station's "Office Margin." You can also use the second floor office, so it's also recommended for workcation. It's a good idea to go cycling to refresh yourself between work breaks.
Access to Koriyama City Konanmachi (Office Margin)
To get to Konanmachi , Koriyama City , please use a car or train + bus.
Approximately 35 minutes by car from Koriyama Minami Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway
・Train + bus
[Train] JR Koriyama Station → ₍JR East Ban'etsu West Line for about 30 minutes₎ → Get off at Jōko Station.
[Bus] Kamito Station → (about 35 minutes by Aizu Bus) → Get off at Fukura Osakaya-mae.
After getting off, it is a one-minute walk to Office Yohaku, where you can rent bicycles.
Information on the Inaichi Light Course
The Inaichi Light Course starts and ends at Funatsu Park, but if you rent a bicycle at the office, you will start from number 3 in the image. (If you bring your own bicycle by car, please use the parking lot at Funatsu Park.)
Rural landscapes, lakeside, majestic Mt. Bandai. Wherever you look, you see nature! Cycling while enjoying the view of nature is exhilarating.
Note: As there are no signs or other guidance indicating the light course, we recommend using the NAVITIME app.
Please be careful as there is a series of curves on the uphill road between Oninuma and Funatsu Park.
[Step 2] Enjoy the scenery and take photos!
There are some great spots along the lakeside course where you can take lots of great photos to remember your trip. You can also cycle a little off the course to Seimatsuhama or Tatehama and spend some time relaxing on the beach while looking out at Mt. Bandai and Lake Inawashiro.

[Step 3] Let's eat delicious food!
We will introduce you to Koriyama gourmet food that is popular among cyclists.
If you like Western food, we recommend "Restaurant Wakanoya." The omelet rice and hamburger steaks wrapped in fluffy, runny eggs are delicious! In addition to Western food, they also serve ramen and set meals, so everyone from children to adults is sure to be satisfied!
[Restaurant Wakanoya] Address: 8596-1 Konanmachi , Koriyama City, Koriyama-shi, Fukushima Prefecture TEL: 024-983-8909 Business hours: 11:00-14:30 Closed: Mondays
The shop we introduced is an Inaichi Cycle Station, so it has a bicycle rack! It's a cyclist-friendly shop.
As you go further along the lakeside, the number of shops decreases, so be sure to bring drinks and other items with you.
[Step 4] Refresh in the hot springs after cycling!
After returning the bicycle to the office, I took a bus back to Kamito Station and then a train to JR Bandai Atami Station.
This is one of Koriyama's most famous hot springs. It is also known as a hot spring for beautiful skin, so why not relax and soothe your tired body and skin after a long day? In addition, the Bandai Atami Kanko Bussan-kan is located very close to Bandai Atami Station. You can also buy souvenirs there, so be sure to stop by.
