Kappa helping out at weddings?!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the discovery of Gajiro, a popular character from Fukusaki Town, in a pond, a wedding was planned. The wedding was called "A wedding helped by Gajiro."

The weather was good on the day, and Gajiro helped out by acting as a ring boy and taking the first bite.

A wedding ceremony was held with Gajiro helping out.

After the wedding, we went to Tsujikawayama Park and did a balloon release. The inverted Tengu also came to congratulate us.

An extraordinary space to stay in Japan's first prefecture-designated important tangible cultural property. Part of the Miki Family Residence, a prefecture-designated important tangible cultural property, and the former Tsujikawa Post Office, a nationally registered tangible cultural property, have been reconstructed as accommodation. It is said that the folklorist Kunio Yanagita was entrusted to the Miki family at the age of 11, and became absorbed in the books they had in their collection. In honor of this, the guest rooms are stocked with a wide range of books on Japanese nature, architecture, food, monsters, and more. A special experience surrounded by a 300-year-old building and a collection of books. An extraordinary time spent in a cozy space that has been renovated from that time. There are seven types of guest rooms, with a sense of history in every nook and cranny.
