① A course touring the best parts of Fukui

This time, we have created three courses from Fukunone vol.11. All of them start in front of Fukui Station, making them perfect for tourists!

Today, we would like to introduce the "① A course touring the best parts of Fukui ". This is a course that allows you to fully experience the charm of Fukui, focusing on food experiences and enjoying the dinosaur square.

START! Fukui Station West Exit Dinosaur Square

This time's model course starts from "Dinosaur Square" at the west exit of JR Fukui Station.

Fukui is famous as the dinosaur kingdom. Many dinosaurs are waiting for you around Fukui Station! There are 21 dinosaur monuments in total! And there are also wall decorations around the station!

The starting point for this tour is at the Dinosaur Square at the west exit of Fukui Station. Three life-sized moving dinosaurs, Fukuiraptor, Fukuisaurus, and Fukuititan, which lived in Fukui, are on display. They are also lit up at night, so you can enjoy them no matter how many times you come! 💞

"Make your own original sweet shrimp bowl" at Fukubuku-chaya, Fukui City Tourist and Products Center

From here on, we will introduce the experiences featured in "Fukunone vol.11"!

First, it's a one-minute walk from Fukui Station! The experience is held at the shopping center "Hapirin Mall" directly connected to the station, and Fukubuku-chaya, a tourist and product center in Fukui City! This is an experience that can only be found in Fukui, where delicious seafood can be enjoyed.

Here, you can make your own original sweet shrimp bowl using fresh sweet shrimp from Fukui Prefecture and the brand rice "Ichihomare" 🦐 It's a hearty experience, from choosing the pottery or lacquerware to arranging the sweet shrimp and eating them 👍

Next, we will introduce the "Compare local sake at a long-established liquor store" plan, which is being held at Hamamachi Yasubun Liquor Store, which is a 3-minute walk from Kaido Jewelry.

Taste and compare delicious and unique local sake in Hamamachi, a town of hospitality in Fukui. The owner of a long-established liquor store that has been in business in this area for over 100 years has carefully selected seven types of seasonal sake. You can enjoy chatting about local sake with the owner while tasting the sake little by little from the sake cups! We hope you find your favorite one 💫

Near Hamamachi Yasubun Liquor Store, there is a building called Griffith Museum, which is a restored foreign-style house from the Meiji period! Please visit there as well.

　

Asuwa River Embankment

After enjoying Fukui's local sake, let's take a leisurely stroll ♩ About 10 minutes walking from Hamamachi Yasubun Liquor Store. Near Fukui Station, there is a river called Asuwa River. This is a beautiful row of cherry blossom trees that was selected as one of the "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan 🌸 And actually... Sakura Bridge on the Asuwa River was the setting for the cover of the novel "I want to eat your pancreas" (also made into a live-action movie!). Therefore, it is a place that can be enjoyed as a sacred pilgrimage.

Also, in March of this year, a facility where you can enjoy the Asuwa River all year round was opened. Its name is "Yoriver"! Yoriver is a place where you can enjoy playing and relaxing around the Asuwa River. Activities on the Asuwa River are also accepted at Yoriver, so please check out the website below.
