Nizamatsu Walking Path Store

The first place we will introduce is "Nizamatsu Sanpomichi Store," a popular shop selling handmade Tokoname ware and Kusamochi rice cakes. The shop is filled with Nizamatsu's original pottery, antique goods from the UK and the US, and baskets woven from wisteria vines, creating a calm atmosphere where you can spend a relaxing and soothing time.

When you think of Nizamatsu, you think of Kusamochi! Nizamatsu has been a pottery manufacturer that has been making Tokoname ware for generations, and people here have been eating Kusamochi in between work since ancient times.

They hand-pick their own mugwort and mill rice purchased from local farmers. Their specialty Kusamochi is made by wrapping specially selected red bean paste made from domestically grown red beans in mochi pounded with a stone mill and pestle. It is a delightful delicacy with its gentle sweetness and the natural aroma of mugwort.

Nizamatsu is open from 8:30am, and for breakfast you can enjoy the "Kusamochi Hot Sandwich," which is kusamochi mochi sandwiched between golden toasted bread. Enjoy a special morning surrounded by gentle sweetness.
