"Fukuro Char Siu" is a Taiwanese-style ramen restaurant that is easy to enter even by yourself
We would like to introduce "Fu Long Char Siu" located in the Yakushi Ai Road shopping arcade in Nakano, Tokyo. They are proud of their char siu, which takes four days to make. They also have a constantly changing menu.
Hello! I'm Nakano Nonaka, a Nakano Tourism Reporter. I share gourmet information specific to Nakano on Instagram from the perspective of a woman in her 20s. This time, I'd like to introduce the unique and delicious Chinese dish "Fulong Char Siu."
It's an 8-minute walk from the north exit of Nakano Station, and the white exterior of the building is the landmark in Yakushi Ai Road shopping street.
Fukuro Char Siu was born from a collaboration between two famous ramen shops, Uguisu-ya and Yatagarasu. Furthermore, due to the manager Kamakura's preference, it was realized as a shop specializing in char siu.
In addition to ramen, they also serve gyoza, shumai, and twice-cooked pork, and Kamakura describes it as a "Taiwanese-style ramen shop." The "Taichung-style steamed gyoza," which Kamakura invented after visiting Taiwan, is an innovative style of eating gyoza by injecting sauce directly from a tube. You can enjoy the meat juice and sauce together.
The shop's best recommendation is their homemade char siu, which takes four days to make. The set, which comes with two types of char siu, ramen, and raw egg on rice, is very filling.
We also put roast pork on rice with raw egg on top.
The flavor is concentrated and it's really delicious.
They also offer noodle dishes that change with the seasons.
My favorite is the "Marugoto Tomato Cold Chinese Noodles." The chewy noodles and the moist pork slices are best served with tomato and black vinegar (this is the menu item available at the time of the interview).
Another thing to look forward to is that new menu items are introduced about twice a month. It's also easy to come alone, so please feel free to drop by.

Nakano city is located in the western part of Tokyo's 23 wards. It is especially famous for Nakano Broadway, known as the "holy land" of subculture, but it also has many other tourist attractions such as historic shrines and temples and gourmet food. While the area around Nakano Station is undergoing a "once in a century" redevelopment, the town is undergoing change, and the town is bustling with old-fashioned, friendly shopping streets, making Nakano a very diverse city. This diversity is also what makes it a city with a population of about 17,000 people from about 120 countries.
