The Kudan Institute of Japanese Culture and Culture Japanese Language Institute is currently recruiting participants for its Holiday Course. Every year, teenage high school students from various regions, including Asia, Europe, South America, and Oceania, participate.
What is a Holiday Course?
This plan includes Japanese lessons, afternoon extracurricular activities, weekend trips, etc. The content changes slightly every year. This is a course that can be participated in mainly in winter, spring, and summer. Due to circumstances, the spring holiday course will not be held in spring 2025, but you can apply for regular Japanese classes. (Applications may close early if the capacity is reached.)
Morning: Conversation course classes Afternoon: Extracurricular activities or free time
Basically, we have a level placement test and then have students study Japanese in a conversation course. In the afternoon, there are extracurricular activities once or twice a week (depending on the schedule). On days when there are no extracurricular activities, I spend my time going out with friends.
Weekend getaways
In the winter holiday course, we go to Disneyland. In the summer holiday course, we also have a Saturday day trip or a two-day trip from after Friday class to Saturday. (Only the Kyoto trip is three days and two nights.)
Summer courses may close early, so please contact us early.
Where are you staying?
Students stay in a homestay or guesthouse. During the summer, there are many applicants for a homestay, so you may be with a family within 60 to 90 minutes of you, but it is a valuable experience to be able to speak Japanese with the family and go out with other share mates. Guesthouses also allow you to interact with students from various countries. They are often closer than homestays.
*Please note that there is a limit to the accommodations that the school can arrange, so we may not be able to accommodate your request at the time of application.
