Precautions Regarding Snow in Sapporo

Icy Roads

First and foremost, wearing snow boots is essential when walking on winter roads. In particular, icy surfaces can be very slippery, so please exercise caution.

Next, it's important to check weather information regularly. If severe weather is predicted, such as heavy snow or blizzards, please refrain from going outside.

Additionally, if you are driving, try to avoid driving during snowfall or when there is accumulating snow. It can be particularly dangerous if you are not accustomed to driving in winter conditions. Also, if driving on snow-covered roads, be mindful to ensure that your vehicle's exhaust pipe does not get buried in the snow.

Whether walking or driving, please prioritize your safety!

Enjoy Your Time in Sapporo

Sapporo offers unique beauty during each of the four seasons, providing plenty of sightseeing opportunities.

In spring, cherry blossoms bloom while summer offers low and comfortable temperatures and humidity. In autumn, vibrant foliage spreads across the landscape while you can enjoy the picturesque snowscape in winter.
