Starbucks has free WiFi in Japan, but some find it difficult to figure out how to log in. Here is a handy step-by-step manual on how to connect easily.
Starbucks is a coffee chain that can be found in most major cities in Japan. Many may be familiar that Starbucks provides free WiFi in their shops. However, it can be a bit of a hassle to log in! This time, we would like to show you the step-by-step process of accessing their WiFi.
To find the Starbucks location nearest use, please follow this link:
To make an account, you will need an email address. You can make an account in advance, so it is advised to register online prior to your visit to make the logging in process smoother. After making an account, a confirmation email will be sent to you. If you make an account on site, make sure you have a device with internet access in order to register your email.
Enter your email address and password, and check the box to accept the terms and conditions before hitting the confirmation button.
Once you register, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you entered earlier.
Once you click your registration URL, you will be able to log in.
When you enter the Starbucks shops, you will find the at_STARBUCKS_Wi2 network. Connect to that network first.
When you connect to at_STARBUCKS_Wi2 and access any website, a WiFi log in screen will pop-up. Put your email address and password you originally registered.
Now you can enjoy surfing the internet with ease.
After accessing the registration page, follow the same registration steps as the PC version.
Once you register, select the at_STARBUCKS_Wi2 network and connect. When you try and access any website, the Starbucks Wifi Log in page will pop up. Once you put your email address and password, you can surf the internet.
You can use the WiFi at almost any Starbucks, but some stores do not provide free WiFi. For those who need to use WiFi at a particular location, please look at the list of branches that have WiFi availability in advance.
The login page is also available in English, so visitors to Japan can easily make use of WiFi at ease.
In addition to the free internet, Starbucks has great coffee even in Japan. Some may be aware, but for customers that order a cup of drip coffee can enjoy a second cup for just 100 yen. You can even order a second cup if you show the receipt at another store. Why not relax with some coffee while getting work done on your laptop or smart phone?
Enjoy surfing the internet during your stay in Starbucks with their easy to access WiFi!
