Enter into an extraordinary world with street-style digital art that decorates Nishi Chaya District.

An unprecedented AR art exhibition will start on Sunday, April 13th at Nishi Chaya District, where Kanazawa 's history and culture live on. AR (Augmented Reality) art is art that is enjoyed by displaying CG images overlaid on the real world, mainly through smartphones and computers. In Japanese, it is called augmented reality.

The story begins when you purchase a ticket and scan the QR code with your smartphone. The experience takes place on the main street of Nishi Chaya District. When you reach the designated location, the artwork will automatically start moving, allowing you to experience the fusion of everyday life and the digital world. The artwork, which uses the entirety of Nishi Chaya District, tells a single story, and a mysterious experience awaits, as if you have wandered into a giant picture book.

Art Cafe 33 yoi yoi, which also serves as the reception area, is a space where you can re-experience the artworks and have fun. The name of the cafe combines "sansan" (33), which means bright and shining, with "yoi yoi" (good to be drunk). If you tell the receptionist the password "sassayoiyoi," which has such a fun meaning, you can experience AR art for 500 yen (until the end of April). Set in the historic Nishi Chaya District, the AR art experience will draw your attention to spots that you might normally overlook.
