What is "LOGIN Kurashiki"?

"LOGIN Kurashiki " is a complex created as a tourist hub for the Takahashi River River basin with a focus on inbound foreign visitors tourists.

The Takahashi River River Basin refers to the western Okayama Prefecture area, including Kurashiki City, Hayashima Town, Yakage Town Soja City, Asakuchi City, Satosho Town Kasaoka City, Satosho Town, Ibara City, Niimi City, Takahashi City , and Takahashi City. The name was chosen with the hope that people would use " LOGIN Kurashiki" as a base to LOGIN (access) to Kurashiki City and neighboring towns.

In the past, the local market "Kurashiki Alley Market" was held regularly here. At that time, various local specialties were gathered from within Kurashiki City as well as the Takahashi River River basin.

Continuing that concept, we aim to become a base for communicating the attractions of the Takahashi River basin, where many people from both Japan and abroad can experience its charms and even make them want to visit areas that interest them.

The garden-like terrace, designed to resemble the flow of the Takahashi River and its water source, is equipped with chairs and tables where you can enjoy takeaway food and drinks.

This is a standing bar where you can enjoy the local flavors of Okayama prefecture with a glass of sake or craft beer in hand. Although it is called a "standing bar," there are seats available so you can relax and enjoy your drink.

A map of local ingredients is displayed inside the store, allowing you to visually see which region each ingredient comes from. This will help you feel closer to the local food culture.

The popular lunchtime dish is the "Okayama Set Meal," which uses plenty of local ingredients. The contents vary depending on the day, but on the day I visited, the set included rice and eggs grown in the terraced rice fields of Misaki Town, octopus and hijiki seaweed caught in the Shimotsui region, Sakushu black beans, and pickles from a long-established pickle shop in Kurashiki. Each ingredient has a story to tell, and you can experience the culture of the area through the food.

The concept of this restaurant is "a bridge that connects the region and people." You can experience the local culture through local sake, beer, and snacks. Many staff members are knowledgeable about regional development and local information, so you can discover new charms of Okayama.

This is a select shop that light on Japan's traditional culture and industrial technology with the theme of "Connecting Technology and Culture to 2050."

The aim is to pass on traditional techniques that are being lost to the future in the form of works. Through the exhibitions, you can learn about the thoughts and techniques behind them. It seems that having such a venue allows information to be gathered, which also serves as an opportunity for the creation of new products.

The store is filled with "Rebornglass," made from recycled glass from light panels, miscellaneous goods handmade by people from vocational support centers, and works by local craftsmen and artists. Workshops on "Kumiko" (traditional Japanese woodworking technique) and stained glass, where you can experience the techniques of artists, are also held on an irregular basis.

It is operated by Ishida Komuten Co., Ltd. The walls are made of magnetic material, making it easy to change displays and layouts. Taking advantage of this feature, it is occasionally used as a challenge shop by artists who want to expand their field of activity.

This is a sweets and drinks shop produced by Junichi Kawamoto, a comedian from Okayama Prefecture. After his own illness, Kawamoto realized the importance of food again and started farming. The shop offers a selection of carefully crafted dishes using "Junmai" rice and "Junama" sweet fermented rice drink, which he grew himself.

The strawberry smoothie parfait contains a strawberry smoothie and sponge cake. It is topped with cheese-flavored semi-sweet cream and strawberries, making it very filling. The smoothie, made with semi-sweet amazake, is moderately sweet and refreshing, making it especially recommended for summer. As seasonal fruits are used, the menu changes with the seasons, which is another fun thing to enjoy.

Crepes made with semi-sweet rice flour dough and semi-sweet cream are also popular.

This shop just opened on April 15th, 2025, and offers premium ice-brewed green tea, which brings out the sweetness of the tea leaves to the fullest, genmaicha (green tea with roasted brown rice), which is extracted using a siphon, and Japanese-style sweets.

The recommended "Exquisite Ice-Dried Sencha" is brewed without water, using only ice, allowing you to enjoy the sweetness of the tea leaves. It has almost no bitterness, and you'll be surprised by its deep flavor, similar to dashi (Japanese soup stock). It is offered under the supervision of the long-established "Tsuneki Tea Shop," so if you want to taste authentic tea, be sure to visit.

"Waryu-yaki" is a Japanese dessert with a dough similar to that of dorayaki (traditional Japanese pancake sandwich with sweet filling), filled with fragrant matcha ice cream, anko (sweet red bean paste), and seasonal fruits. The anko is cooked fresh in the store, with as little sugar as possible and sea salt added. It is characterized by its light sweetness and fluffy anko flavor.

"Hiyasai" means "alley" in the old Kurashiki dialect.
