The 3rd Japan International Art Festival is being held for six months from April 13th to October 13th during the Osaka-Kansai Expo, with the mission of "Co-creation of Art, Design, Science, Technology, and Economy - Communicating the Beauty and Spirit of Japan to the World and Creating the Future", networking the Expo site, Kyoto, Kansai, and the whole country. At the main venue, the Osaka-Kansai Expo site, the main event space "EXPO Messe" will host 106 booths by 54 organizations and events such as art and academic seminars from July 2nd (Wed) to July 6th (Sun), including Japan Day on July 3rd (Thu), Japan's national day. At the "3rd Japan International Art Festival/Osaka-Kansai Expo Exhibition" at "EXPO Messe", the temples of Sennyuji Temple, Ninnaji Temple, Kenninji Temple, Toji Temple, Nishi Honganji Temple, Shogoin Temple, and Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei will have special exhibits in the "Japan's Greatest Beauty and Spirit" zone.
