Taking advantage of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, the event will be held with the mission of "Co-creating art, design, science, technology and the economy - conveying the beauty and spirit of Japan to the world and creating the future."

Following the 1st Japan International Art Festival in 2023 and the 2nd Japan International Art Festival in 2024, the Japan International Art Festival, organized by the Yumeshima New Industry and Urban Creation Organization, will be held for six months from April 13 to October 13, 2025, during the Osaka-Kansai Expo, which will see the participation of 158 countries and regions and seven international organizations. The festival will network with the Expo site, Kyoto, Kansai and the whole country. This art festival, which has also been selected as a commissioned project for "Nippon Expo 2.0," will contribute to the creation of a virtuous cycle between culture, art and the economy and society, and a well-being future where life shines.

The Japan International Art Festival Expert Committee includes producers of the 2025 World Expo, Japan, as well as prominent figures from the business, academic, and government sectors.

At the main Expo site, the large event space, EXPO Messe "WASSE," will host 106 booths by 54 organizations and events such as art and academic seminars from Wednesday, July 2nd to Sunday, July 6th, including Japan's National Day, July 3rd (Japan Day).

Exhibiting at the EXPO Messe "WASSE", the Imperial Temples of Sennyuji, Ninnaji, Kenninji, Toji, Nishi Honganji, Shogoin, and Enryakuji on Mount Hiei will be exhibiting specially in the "Japan's Greatest Beauty and Spirit" zone.
The Japan International Art Festival is the only event at the Osaka-Kansai Expo where an internationally respected temple with over 1,000 years of history and which houses many of Japan's national treasures will be exhibiting.

Events will also be held at the Expo site's Pop-up Stage South, Pop-up Stage North, Women's Pavilion and other locations, and Yumeshima Organization executive member companies will set up shop in the Future Challenge Shop.

Outside the Expo site, the 3rd Official Participating Countries Co-Creation Summit and the 3rd Japan International Art Festival Summit will be held at the World Heritage Site, Ryukokuzan Honganji Temple (Nishi Honganji Temple).

During the six-month period from April 13th to October 13th, during which the Osaka-Kansai Expo will be held, we will be holding a "collaboration project" in collaboration with art museums, museums, workshops, universities, corporate showrooms, etc. from Kyoto to Osaka, Kansai, and across the country.
