How to Get to Beppu Onsen
Going From Osaka
From JR Shin-Osaka Station, get on the Nozomi shinkansen or the Sakura shinkansen and get off at Ogura Station. From there, transfer to the Limited Express Sonic (Japanese) and go to Beppu Station. It takes around three hours and 30 minutes and costs 16,140 yen. Please note that depending on transfers, your travel time may vary.

From Osaka Nanko Port, you can get on the Ferry Sunflower (Japanese) and go on an overnight cruise to Beppu Kanko-ko Port. A standard room is 14,100 yen one way, however, prices may vary based on the rooms.
Going From Tokyo
From Haneda or Narita airport, it takes around an hour and 30 minutes to reach Oita Airport. The prices vary according to date and airline company. From the airport, take the airliner (airport express bus) to Beppu Kitahama. It takes around 50 minutes and costs 1500 yen.
By Bullet Train
Get on the Nozomi shinkansen from Tokyo Station and get off at Ogura Station. From there, transfer to the Limited Express Sonic (Japanese) and go to Beppu Station. It takes around 6 hours and costs 23,580 yen. Please note that depending on transfers, your travel time may vary.
