9:50 - 10:16 -- From Haneda Airport to Tokyo Tower
Take the Keikyu Line Airport Express train bound for Inba-Nihon-Idai Station departing at 9:50 and you'll reach Daimon Station without changing trains.
From Daimon Station, you'll be able to reach Tokyo Tower after a 13-minute walk. The beautiful red tower is visible from anywhere and it will be easy to reach. You'll be passing by the famous Zojoji Temple and through Shiba Park, both located at the foot of Tokyo Tower.
10:45 - 12:15 -- Tokyo Tower: Enjoy Stunning Views of Tokyo!
Tokyo Tower, the second tallest communications and broadcasting tower in Tokyo at 333 m, was built in 1958. Its beautiful bright orange figure has captured the hearts of many.
We recommend visiting the Gallery on the first floor (free admission), the Main Deck, and the Top Deck. A ticket to the Main Deck costs 1,200 yen for adults while a ticket that includes both the Main Deck and Top Deck is 3,000 yen (online tickets available for 2,800 yen).
At the Gallery, you can also see incredibly detailed miniatures of Tokyo Tower and of Tokyo City as it looked in the fifties. Here you can learn how Tokyo Tower was built and why, as well as a series of interesting facts about this tower.
The Main Deck is located 150 meters above ground and has two floors that allow you to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of the city. Visit on a clear day and you can see as far as Mt. Fuji! The view of the dazzling city lights is breathtaking, so consider visiting again sometime in the evening.
There is also a glass floor area where you can see the structure of the tower and city right under your feet. It's a little scary to walk on the glass floor, but it's an amazing experience!
The Main Deck is often a venue for events and exhibitions. On the lower level of the deck, there is a video projection area showing a fascinating video of Tokyo Tower's history.
The Top Deck is 250 meters above ground, so it's 100 meters higher than the Main Deck. Reaching it by elevator will give you thrills, because some parts of the wall are of glass!
In the Top Deck, the spectacular views of the city are reflected and enhanced by the artistic geometrical mirrors covering the walls. It's an extremely stylish observatory that will compel you to take hundreds of photos!
