Shanghai Special Edition
The first Kurono Tokyo chronograph dial without a date window features a deep reddish-brown ring as an accent, created using a special technique. The 12 and 6 indices are set in a Gothic typeface, creating a classic and clean look. The 'P' in 'P1' stands for 'Purists,' reflecting a pure expression of Art Deco design.
Not only was the date display removed, but Asaoka personally worked on modifying the crown to a single-pull mechanism, perfecting the design through repeated prototyping. 'Chronograph P1 Shanghai Edition' is a limited-production piece that will not be reproduced or resold, making it a truly special edition.

"The original Japan-made NE86 movement is an automatic chronograph movement that features a vertical clutch and a column wheel, and I highly value its performance and reliability. However, one unfortunate aspect is that there are no movements available without a date. As a result, every time we release a chronograph, some customers have shared that they would prefer a version without a date. Unfortunately, due to these circumstances, it has been difficult to fulfill this request.
