Wine making that makes the most of the grapes' individuality

"f winery" is located a short walk from the Shinko Bus Port Loop articulated bus stop at Shinkocho bus stop, in front of Shin-Kobe Station or Sannomiya Station. It is located on the sea side of the first floor of the Stage Felissimo building.

On the second floor of the same building is the Felissimo Chocolate Museum, which is themed around chocolate and cacao, and is a popular tourist spot especially on holidays.

Tanks installed in the brewing area

This is the kind of small urban winery that was built in. The concept is "an urban winery that values ​​encounters with people and aims to create unique wines," and they also hold tasting events and wine-related workshops from time to time.

The winemaking area has seven tanks, and can produce up to 20,000 bottles of wine per year (750ml full bottle conversion). Because it is a small brewery, not only the winemaking but also the bottling, labeling, and packaging are all done by hand.

As part of our local production and consumption philosophy, we also source from vineyards in Kobe City Nishi Ward and Kita Ward.

We also source grapes from various producing regions, including Hokkaido, Yamagata, Nagano, Osaka and Australia, and we focus on creating wines that cherish the best qualities of each grape and bring out their individuality.

They will also start making wine in wooden barrels from autumn 2022. They plan to produce about 1,400 bottles of wine in two barrels.

One of the unique pleasures of "f winery" is the opportunity to compare wines made from the same grape variety aged in tanks and barrels.

You can drink the wines produced here in the stand area attached to the brewery. The glass-walled interior is open and bright, allowing you to enjoy wine in a casual atmosphere.

The most popular menu item at the shop is the "f winery 3-variety wine tasting set" (1,200 yen). You can choose three wines from the menu, so you can tell the staff your favorite tastes and aromas and try them all.

Rosé, with its beautiful pale pink color, is a popular wine among women.

In addition to wine, there are also snacks that go well with wine, such as marinades, potato salad, and quiche.

If you can't decide what to get, we recommend the "f winery Wine Marriage Set" (1,600 yen). It comes with three types of wine and three mini plates, and you can enjoy snacks that go perfectly with each wine.

Starting in April 2023, the store will begin selling its original product, "Felissimo Chocolate Museum Original Almond Chocolat that Pairs with Wine" (1,500 yen per box).

The "Dark Chocolate" with cheddar cheese and black pepper goes well with red wine, while the "White Chocolate" with Gouda cheese and rosemary goes well with white wine.

The menu also includes a set of one glass of wine and five almond chocolates called "Enjoy Almond Chocolate with a Glass of Wine" (900 yen per set).

The almond chocolat is a limited edition product that can only be purchased at "f winery" and "Felissimo Chocolate Museum," so be sure to buy it as a souvenir.

Enjoy your favorite wine at home

If you find a wine you like in the store, you can purchase it by the bottle. You can also sample it, so try a little at a time and find the one that you think is the one! The brightly designed labels are very stylish and are recommended as gifts.

This "f winery107" (3,080 yen) is a red wine made from Muscat Bailey A, a black grape variety developed in 1927 by Kawakami Kawakami, the founder of Hara Vineyard in Niigata .

When you bring the glass close to your nose, you can smell the faint scent of grapes, and that alone makes you feel like this is definitely going to be delicious! It's not too bitter, and it's light and easy to drink.

If you're looking for a wine with a clean taste, we recommend "f winery 113" (3,080 yen), made with Chardonnay. It has a refreshing citrus aroma and is a wine that goes well with sushi and other fish dishes.

By the way, "f winery 903" (3,850 yen) is made from the same grapes as "f winery 113" and aged in barrels. Please try tasting them to see the difference.

When you hear the word "winery," you might imagine it's a place only for people who like alcohol, but "f winery" also serves coffee, cafe lattes, and soft drinks. Many people also use it as a cafe, and a staff member said, "Even if you can't drink alcohol, please feel free to come and visit us."

On nice days, we recommend taking out some wine and sitting at the counter in the public space in front of the shop. Toasting with wine while looking out at the sea is a stylish way to spend time.
