One of the must-visit new shopping spots for 2025 is Grand Green Osaka. This complex consists of a North Building, a South Building, and the verdant Umekita Park.
The North Building houses around 15 shops and restaurants. The South Building, which opened as a direct connection to JR Osaka Station with a grand opening on March 21, 2025, accommodates 55 shops and restaurants.

Daimaru Umeda is a one-minute walk from JR Osaka Station. Along with Hankyu Umeda Main Store and Hanshin Umeda Main Store, it is often referred to as one of Umeda’s three major department stores. The building spans B2F to 15F and houses many shops.

Hankyu Umeda Main Store is directly connected to Hankyu Umeda Station.

Hankyu MEN'S Osaka is located very close to Hankyu Umeda Station. Its exterior, reminiscent of the bow of a large ship, leaves a strong impression.

HEP stands for Hankyu Entertainment Park and opened in 1998. It houses about 150 shops selling trendy fashion and sundries. Among them, the Korean goods select shop Kansei Kukan is especially popular with young people!
The red Ferris wheel, 75 meters in diameter, is a landmark of Umeda. As a world-first experiment, the Ferris wheel was integrated with the building's air-conditioning system.

11. Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street

Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street is Japan’s longest shopping arcade, stretching about 2.6 km.
It originally flourished as the gateway town to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the deity of scholarship, over 400 years ago in the Edo period. Today, it is home to approximately 800 shops, ranging from daily-goods stores to eateries and prepared-food shops.

12. Shin-Umeda Shokudo-gai (Shin-Umeda Food Alley)

Shin-Umeda Shokudo-gai is a dining street located in Umeda’s underground area, about a 1–3 minute walk from JR Osaka Station, Hankyu Umeda Station, and the various Umeda Subway stations. It is lined with many izakaya (Japanese pubs) and yakitori (grilled chicken skewer) restaurants.
The arcade opened in 1950. It was originally established as a relief project for retirees working in facilities of the former Japanese National Railways. At the time of opening, there were 18 shops, but it has since grown into a popular Umeda gourmet spot with around 100 establishments.

The area located just south of JR Osaka Station and the various Umeda stations is called Kitashinchi.
This is Umeda’s upscale entertainment district, home to many bars, clubs, snack bars, small cuisine restaurants, and Japanese and Western-style fine dining establishments.

The underground mall connected to Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station originally opened in 1963 and was affectionately known as "Umechika." In 1987, it was renovated and rebranded as Whity Umeda, inspired by the image of a white city.
