This is a garden museum located on a mountain at an altitude of 840m. In the garden, which covers an area of ​​approximately 17,000㎡, works by French impressionist painters such as Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, and Van Gogh are faithfully reproduced on full-size ceramic panels, and are exhibited together with 100,000 flowers of 1,500 varieties.

It is the head temple of the Tendai sect, built by Dengyo Daishi Saicho in 785. The central East Pagoda is lined with important buildings and towers, centered around the Konponchudo, which is also registered as a World Heritage Site. In spring, about 40 varieties of cherry blossoms bloom in full bloom.

This roadside station is located on the west side of the lake, at the foot of Lake Biwa Bridge. Inside the building, you'll find a rest area, a shop, a restaurant serving a variety of local dishes, and a direct sales store for Shiga specialties called "Oishiya Ureshiya."

There are two private hot springs on the premises, and you can enjoy two types of hot springs in a variety of baths. In addition, there are five types of elaborate bedrock baths, recliners with a panoramic view of Lake Biwa, and a restaurant serving French, Italian, yakiniku, and Japanese cuisine, making for a full range of facilities.
