If you’re heading to Tsukiji in the morning, this event is an easy add-on to your visit. “Let’s Eat Tokyo Food,” hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs, invites international visitors and foreign residents to sample freshly prepared Japanese dishes made with fish and vegetables sourced from Tokyo.

Held inside Tsukiji Cooking Studio, the tasting focuses on classic preparations like sushi and tempura using local ingredients. It’s a quick way to experience local produce while staying close to the outer market area. Drop in anytime between 10:00am and 2pm as part of your Tsukiji stroll and try a fresh taste of Tokyo’s own food culture.
