KitKat Hojicha - Savor The Mild Sweetness of Roasted Green Tea
KitKat Hojicha has been around as Kyoto-limited souvenir for quite a while. Now you can get it all over Japan as part of the KitKat "adult sweetness" line featuring a slightly updated flavor.
Until now, Hojicha (Roasted Green Tea) KitKat has been a Kyoto-Limited flavor. Now, KitKat introduces Hojicha KitKat as part of its "adult sweetness" line.
KitKat Hojicha "adult sweetness" is deeper in flavor than the original, so hojicha lover will be able to enjoy a more authentic flavor. Roasted tea is slightly smoky with a mellow bitterness in taste which translates well in the new KitKat.
The white chocolate covering the KitKat as well as the cream inside the wafer are hojicha flavored. Crushed cookie pieces mixed into the chocolate give this KitKat and extra crunch.
A pack of 12 mini Hojicha KitKat costs about 300 yen plus tax. They are available in supermarkets all over Japan.
As of now, it has not announced if they will be limited edition or part of the permanent line.
