Sailor Moon Museum is a large-scale exhibition held at the Roppongi Museum in Tokyo from July 1 through December 30, 2022. The exhibition celebrates the 30th anniversary of the popular manga and anime series "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon." Read on to learn about the highlights of the event.
Sailor Moon fans, rejoice! Roppongi Museum is hosting a large-scale exhibition titled Sailor Moon Museum from July 1 until December 30, 2022. This exhibition is part of a series of events held to celebrate 30 years since the release of the manga "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" by Naoko Takeuchi, which inspired the animation series loved by fans worldwide.
The venue, Roppongi Museum, was chosen due to its proximity to Tokyo's Azabu-juban area, the main setting for the action and events depicted in the Sailor Moon series.

The Sailor Moon Museum exhibition will be held in three installments, each with slightly different content and highlights.
2. Second installment: from September 10 through November 6
Visitors will be able to see displays of original drawings from the third and fourth seasons.
3. Third installment: from November 12 through December 30
The exhibits will show original drawings from the fifth season onward.
In addition to original drawings, the exhibitions have other features that make them a must-visit!
Images from the series will be projected using large screens that create an immersive experience for the viewers. Moreover, the magic items used by the characters have been recreated for this event and will be on display!
Original drawings showing famous scenes from the manga series will be displayed using a holographic method. By changing the point of view, visitors will be able to see their favorite scenes each time in a different light.
Another highlight of the Sailor Moon Museum will be the display of more than 600 items from the 30-year history of the series. Visitors will be able to see figurines, drawings used in order to design the setting of the anime, game consoles, and even costumes used in the various stage musicals inspired by Sailor Moon over the years.
