Travel Medical Insurance is Free for All International Travelers

Starting October 5, 2022, Hoshino Resorts has been providing free travel medical insurance to all international travelers staying at Hoshino Resorts Group properties in Japan . This insurance covers medical expenses for illnesses, including COVID-19, that occur while staying at Hoshino Resorts facilities.

Since the pandemic, people are becoming more and more concerned about getting proper medical care and communicating their symptoms while traveling abroad. In addition, in Japan, it is obligatory to pay the actual medical expenses (*1), so medical expenses for international travelers tend to be expensive, and many hospitals only accept cash payments.

In order for international travelers to use this insurance, reservations must be made through the official reservation site of the Hoshino Resorts Group.

The insurance period is from the date of check-in to the date of check-out at no additional charge. The main coverage provided by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. is medical expense coverage up to 1 million yen per injury or illness. Please check the official website for details.
