Located at Kanzakigawa Station on the Hankyu Kobe Line, Mitsuya Shopping Street is famous for being the site of the Yacurling World Championships. In one corner of the street, you'll find Daikokudo, a Japanese confectionery store with a 100-year history, and Montor, a handmade, gently sweet Western confectionery store.

Half a century ago, in 1970, Daikokudo and the adjacent sweet shop burned down. When they were rebuilt, they were separate shops, but in 2000 they were combined into one shop, Daikokudo Montor.

There are also rows of "jo-namagashi" (freshly-made confections) and "manju" (steamed buns). It would be fun to sample a variety of Japanese sweets as you stroll through the Shopping Street.

The Western confectionery section also features nostalgic cakes and baked goods made with fruit, allowing visitors to experience the taste of sweets that are loved by the shop's customers.

Be sure to come and try the sweets, which have an elegant appearance and a gentle sweetness that evoke the traditions of this long-established store.
