There are great night view spots all around Japan. Let's look at the new top three and internationally lesser-known Japanese night views via Google Street View today.
Lesser-known Japanese Night View Spots
There are locations with beautiful night views all over Japan. Hakodate, Kobe, and Nagasaki have represented the top three Japanese night view spots in Japan for many years, and are the most famous of these views.
In addition to these three places, many organizations have selected their own beautiful night view spots. For instance, the non-profit organization 'New Top 3 Japanese Night Views and 100 Night Views Bureau' selected their own 'new top three Japanese night views'.
These places are still not well-known internationally, but each of them is definitely beautiful. Let's have a sneak view of 'the new top three Japanese night views' with Google street view today.
We will show you the day time view here, but please visit in person and experience the beauty of the view at night.
1. Mt. Sarakura - '10 Billion Dollar Night View' Sign Not Just for Show
First of all, we will look at Mt. Sarakura in Fukuoka, Kitakyushu city. It is a part of the Kitakyushu quasi-national park which was first used as an oasis by local residents.
You get to the observation platform by the Mt. Sarakura cable car in 7 minutes, which makes it very accessible.
Let's click and drag the cursor on the picture above. The scenery around you will change and you will feel as if you were there.
A little walk from the platform is Kunimiiwa, a famous place to practice rock climbing that you do not want to miss. The rock was made as the layers of rock 1000 m under the lake were raised up by movements of the earth's crust first and later degraded.

2. Mt. Wakakusa - A Historical Mountain With a Burial Mound On Top
Mt. Wakakusa, famous for the annual dead grass burning festival known as Yamayaki, is in Nara prefecture. It has also been chosen as one of the new top three Japanese night views with a beautiful landscape. It is loved as a scenic spot to enjoy the time-honored nature of Nara prefecture as well as the Uguisuzuka kofun (*1). One of the original types of Japanese grasses, 'shinoba', is a rare species that only grows in the wild on Mt. Wakakusa in this area.
*1 kofun: the burial mounds or graves of rulers or other people of power in ancient times.
You can enjoy watching many deer gathering here to eat 'shinoba' on top of the mountain. The deer living on Mt. Wakakusa and the shinoba are in a symbiotic relationship. After the deer eat the seeds along with the grass leaves, their gastric acid and 40℃ body temperature make the seed shells soft enough to sprout.
The shinoba habitat has become larger by the seed excreted with the droppings. The shinoba grasses on Mt. Wakakusa have been protected because of this naturally occurring cycle repeated since old times.

3. Yamanashi Fuefukigawa Fruit Park - Hot Springs and Gourmet Food, the Whole Sightseeing Experience
Lastly, let's look at Yamanashi Fuefukigawa Fruit Park.
It is a popular spot for local people, but it is still a little-known place nationwide. There is 'fruit park Fujiya Hotel' established in the park, which is a great resort where you can enjoy not only night views but also the amazing view of Fuji, fruit and gourmet food made in Yamanashi prefecture, and hot springs.
There is nothing better than enjoying gourmet food and hot springs in an open space. If the weather is good, you can also enjoy views of Mt. Fuji.
