6 Popular Marathon Events In Japan You Don't Want To Miss
Running through a city in a marathon is a little different than walking through it. Japan boasts numerous marathon events, such as the Tokyo and Kyoto Marathon. It's a great experience to participate in, or to just stop by to cheer on other runners.
Why not admire a Japanese townscape while speeding (on foot) through it? You'll find there's a different appeal than that of just walking through the town.
Today we'll be introducing six popular marathon events, held in the tourist-attracting cities of Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Tokyo, Shizuoka, Nagoya, Aichi, Osaka, and Kyoto.
1. Kanazawa Marathon (Full Marathon)
A full marathon held in the city of Kanazawa in Ishikawa prefecture. Runners from abroad can participate just by applying, without the need to win a spot through the lottery. For those living in Japan, applications are closed when the event reaches 1000 applicants, so we recommend applying early.
