Chestnut, Sweet Potato and Apple Pie Flavored KitKats are ready to put you in the autumn mood. Don't miss out on the limited edition Japanese KitKats for Fall 2019!

KitKat Japan is known for its vast varieties of flavors depending on region and season. The new autumn release does not disappoint, featuring three beloved fall flavors evoking images of maple leaves and bonfires.

Chestnut, Sweet Potato and Apple Pie Flavored Autumn KitKat

Chestnut KitKat (12 minis for 500 yen) is a repromote from 2018. It offers white chocolate-covered wavers filled with sweet chestnut cream.

Sweet Potato KitKat (11 minis for 500 yen) is new to the autumn line-up. Okinawa offers a purple sweet potato flavored KitKat and there has been a baked sweet potato flavor in the past but they are both different from this variation. KitKat promises an authentic Japanese sweet potato flavor covered in white chocolate. Knowing their flavor accuracy we can probably expect it to even have the slight smokiness beloved Japanese autumn snack offers.

The new Apple Pie Flavored KitKat(12 minis for 500 yen) offered as part of the Halloween range is another edition of the "Adult Sweetness" series. This series promises to be not too sweet and suited for a more grown-up palate. Dressed up in Halloweeny violet-colored white chocolate it promises all the flavor goodness of an apple pie in a KitKat.

The purple color is supposed to provide a surprise effect when opening the KitKat. It is also reminiscent of the color of the night as well the color of witches which is suitable for Halloween KitKats.

The original KitKat (14 minis for 500 yen) will also come dressed up in a special Halloween package. It will be called Halloween break and feature Halloween prints on the package.

The flavor won't differ from the original. Just your original KitKat, all dressed up.

The Chestnut and Sweet Potato KitKats will be released on August 19th, 2019 and the Halloween KitKat will start creeping up in stores from August 26th, 2019. Chestnut KitKats can also be found at selected convenience stores for 120 yen plus tax for three mini KitKats.
